Weblinks

At GCSE level it is sometimes hard to find web sites with appropriate language levels. But try:

BBC
This takes you to the BBC bitesize pages for business. These can play a useful part in reinforcement.

Cadbury
Go to the Learning Zone, then Schools, then Marketing Information. The Marketing Review is a good place to look at branding and market segments. The site is very colourful. The Trade Section is serious stuff but there is lots of good information.

Carol
This is a good way to reach a wide range of on-line company reports.

Marketing Council
Look for Research and then Case Studies. The BAA case study is very accessible, as is the McDonalds one. The two could be compared and contrasted in various ways. The Glaxo SmithKline case is a little more wordy but still usable for many.

Alternatively, go to Innovation and Awards and Vote, which features various case studies. You can select useful passages and build them into a word file.

TeachnetUK
David Salbstein's accounting activities go beyond the scope of this course but some, including the profit and loss and the balance sheet sections, will be very useful with some classes.
