1. Old and new products (estimated time: 45 minutes)
This activity looks at the interaction of new technologies with demand for new and existing products and the impact on one well-known business. It is designed to work with mixed abilities but you could differentiate it further by cutting out or substituting some questions or data. Groups could present their conclusions to the class if appropriate. You could cut it up and keep the second part until the class or group has finished the first part.

This activity provides an opportunity to explore product development, promotion and branding. It is also a good way to revise added value, sales revenue and profit, market research and value for money.
