From this page you can access resources for teaching the current A-level Nuffield Economics & Business in 2007-09.

(From June 2008 onwards there will be links to resources on this site which support the new Edexcel A-level course for September 2008.)

Nuffield Economics & Business works best when it is delivered through active learning strategies. Students need to experience the decision-taking process in practical contexts. They must learn to support their conclusions with reasoned analysis and to recognise alternative perspectives.

Student files
The Students' Book has been updated and the materials available to all to download free of charge. This is for students who started the course in 2006 or 2007. Go to updated Student Files.

Teachers' resource pack
The original Teachers' resource pack is now out of print. For all the classic activities, and some that have been updated, go to Teacher resources.

These resources include Activities, Case studies and Answers, and Schemes of work for all modules and options.
* Activities to help with active learning; these ones are still very relevant to all following the A2 course.
* Case studies and Answers are relevant only for users of the original textbook (now badly outdated but still in use in a few schools and colleges); some may be usable; others have been deleted.
* Schemes of work could be used as a basis for development, but would need substantial updating if you use them.

Other resources
Web-links include links to sites likely to be useful for investigative work.

Practice questions lead students towards the style of question which is likely to be encountered under examination conditions. Some of these have a synoptic element.
